The Working Explained:
The working of this crane anti collision device is based in the principle of retro-reflective infrared waves. It comprises a special reflector, an emitter and sensor module. The work of emitter is to emit the infrared waves towards the reflector, which then further reflects these waves back to the sensor. As the sensor senses the presence of reflected infrared waves, it triggers an alarm signal and stops/reduces the speed of the cranes. If the two cranes are away from each other, then they would continue to operate normally as the reflected waves will not reach the sensor. It is possible to adjust the sensing distance between 3 to 10 meters. This device can be used continually for the crane application.
